St. Stephen’s Green

St. Stephen’s Green is a park in the center of Dublin which houses memorials to many great Irish historical and cultural icons. It houses a Yeats memorial garden, a bust of James Joyce, and even a statue of Sir A.E.Guinness. Stephen (Dadelus) is also the name of the autobiographical character in Joyce’s Ulysses and Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. He was Joyce’s literary extension.
To us, St. Stephen’s Green is a classic Dry Irish Stout. It is dry, roasty, and refreshing, with notes of bitter chocolate and espresso supported by a light sour tang, a nod to legendary Guinness brewing practices in which a portion of each batch of Guinness was, in fact, soured Guinness. We make our version using a hint of acidulated malt to complement the roasted barley, black malt, flaked wheat, and traditional English hops. It’s wrapped up in an easy drinkable package – 3.5% alcohol; a session stout built for a day that deserves more than one beer.
Join us and raise a glass this St. Patrick’s Day!
